ReadyChapter is built around one privacy idea: for people whose finances are becoming part of a court record, the safest data is the data we never collect. This policy describes the little we do collect and what happens to it.

Our interactive tools: nothing leaves your browser

The tools on this site run entirely in your browser. Anything you type into them — debts, balances, dates, notes — is stored locally on your own device (using your browser's local storage) and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Each tool includes a Delete All button that removes its data from your device. If you clear your browser data or use a different device, that information is gone or absent — by design, we cannot recover it because we never had it.

Our email list: three fields, maximum

If you sign up for the free checklist or timeline reminder emails, we collect your email address and — only if you choose to share them — your chapter (7 or 13) and filing month. That's the complete list. We never ask for and never store debt amounts, creditor names, Social Security numbers, or case numbers. Email is delivered through Kit (our email service provider), which stores this information on our behalf. Every email includes a working unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops the emails, and you can also ask us to delete your record entirely.

Purchases

The paid organizer is sold through Gumroad, which processes payment and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

Analytics: pageviews, not people

We use privacy-focused, pageview-level analytics to understand which pages are useful (for example, how many people visited a guide). We do not use analytics that record what you type into forms or tools, and we do not run advertising trackers.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We don't collect your financial details — on the site, in the tools, or by email.
• We don't use tracking pixels for ad targeting.
